5 stars The Alpha Album was for me the best Album of Asia. It was nos as succesful as the first one but much better as less coomercial. First time that is listen to the songs I thought what a dificult and different way to play music. Some months later after listening more than 10 times to the album i begun to like it and I still love it today and it is for me eaven better as my newfavorites Archivia II, Aria and Silent Nation That I do also begin to like.

My favorite songs on the album did change. First it was the commercial Don't cry afterwards a fantastic my own time, than a very sad with feeling The smile has left your eyes. Open your eyes could be in my eyes a number one hit. But the best title on the album for me is perhaps the one that was never played on concerts it is Midnight sun as it has the really feeling in the voice of John Wetton and the instrumental silence of a beautiful easy song.

Asia remains for me since the beginning the best group of the world and if it would be possible i would like that the both voices John Payne and John Wetton perform together with Geoff Downes as the two different voice could give another kick look as Open your eyes with more voices or look at another favorite group Toto with Home of the brave.
