5 stars I am a prog fan. Not necessarily a Genesis fan. I respect them a lot, but most records don't connect with me fully. But then there's The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. According to many, they took it too far with this one. Bloated, full of self-indulgence. But I like this one best. I see this as the best output from the Gabriel era.

Ths concept double album shows a more mature Genesis, certainly in the storytelling. But also in their focused delivery of the songs.

I leave the in-depth reviews to the 100+ people who did it before me. I will focus on more elaborate reviews for the less-reviewed albums. But I wanted to bring forward my appreciation for this classic output from Genesis.

edit: I'm glad my review brought this one from #38 to #36 on the all-time list at the time I wrote it.
