4 stars In 1977, Styx was at the top of their form. They had released Equinox (maybe their best album), and Crystal Ball, and were now ready to pump out this album and Pieces of 8 before falling into the "pop-rock" curse. What happened Dennis? This is rare album that has no bad song on it. I would say "Superstars" is the only thing keeping this from a near-perfect effort. Classics such as COme Sail Away , Grand Illusion, and Castle Walls, show Styx at the finest. Tommy Shaw really shows in this album how important of a pick up he was, more so than the weaker Crystal Ball album. A little prog, a little pop, a little arena rock= a great album from Styx. I give this a solid 4 stars.
