3 stars 3.5 stars for sure

Colt - an unknown heavy prog band from Poland formed in late 90s and issued only one album in 2002 named From the fridge. On the back cover of the CD it says "hard rock trip into the progressive 70's" - and exactly is what I got, early 70's type of heavy prog very similar with Atomic Rooster, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and even Jethro Tull in places.

The albums is pretty much well built and performed, with hammond organ all over the place, nice guitar parts, flute is also present, so a retro release. All pieces are more then ok with a plus on Z Wielkich Walk and title track, a 14 min piece pure leasure. If you like mentioned bands from old school but aswell with later on prog scene , with one of better bands from Czech republic - Cuprum, or maybe italians from Wyatt Earp. 3.5 stars, forgotten and unknown release, deserves more attention.
