CAN [AKA: INNER SPACE]

I remember hoping and praying for a return to form with this album, and you can tell that the band are trying. But without Czukay it's a hard slog.

There's none of the inventive power of the early albums. Nothing here astonishes or delights. In parts the album is almost unlistenably bland. The sort of album that would lull small chilren to sleep.

The fact that the most inventive track on the whole album is a binaural recording of two people playing table tennis says it all.
