THICK AS A BRICK

(This review is based on the original album without the bonus tracks.) Wow! Closing in on 1000 reviews of this Tull classic. Is it one of the classic Prog albums? No doubt. Does it deserve it's historic reputation? Yes. Is it the best Jethro Tull album? Maybe for a lot of folks, but I prefer AQUALUNG over THICK AS A BRICK. The first side of this is pure genius and I really like it. However, there seems to be a lag to my enjoyment at the beginning of side 2. Otherwise this is every bit the classic it has been hailed to be. Even with this flaw, THICK AS A BRICK deserves a 5 star rating for pure Prog groundbreakingness. 5 stars!
