2 stars There are some good passages here and there, but I think this album includes most of the things that I don't like in Senmuth.

It is not too different from other dark-ethnic-ambient releases of this artist, but it's full of those "randomic" changes of pitch which jeopardize any intention to follow a melodic line. The use of ethnic sounds (or instruments, who knows?) can make it interesting for a newbie, even if I don't think that one approaching Senmuth for the first time has to choose this album.

This wants to be a warning for newbies: there are better things in Senmuth's discography so if you are so unlucky to have chosen this one to start, give him another try.

"Persepolise Gate of Xerxes" and "The Sipadan Necropolis of Sea Turtles" are not bad, but the overall result is quite a boring album, repetitive and very hard to get into. The closer "Antiquity Phantoms" has inside all the defects of the album.

Spend your time if you want to listen to everything Senmuth has done.
