3 stars I wonder if the original bootleg version of this album inspired Frank Zappa to record the song Tengo Na Minchia Tanta, which appears on the CD version of "Uncle Meat", but was obviously recorded much later. The song itself is nowhere on this album.

The concert was a late 1970 recording with Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan. FZ fans will recognize a large portion of the album as earlier versions of the material on the "Fillmore East" album. The recording sounds like it was directly taped from the sound board, and as such, the quality is not bad.

The interesting material is A Pound For A Brown (On The Bus), with a guitar solo that hints at the Inca Roads guitar solo, which appears again later on the album paired with some early themes frpm Easy Meat. The groupie routines have some additional material added in, and Bwana Dik sounds much more like the original Lumpy Gravy theme from which it was derived.

Very little of this album is unique, but it's still a good concert, if you can take all of the penis references.
