4 stars I'm not saying this album is Machiavel's masterpiece. However the album has potential of full blosom for the Machiavel's 30 years glory. It's like a seed which will be shown later for the prog side of Machiavel. The muic contained in this cd has full of melancholy and sentimaental moods. Somewhat so sad and you won't be delighted for the days.

Of course the sound of this debut album isn't like 70's virtuoso super bands like Yes, ELP, Jethro tull, Gentle Giant etc yet. However a lot of people considered this album is the first step for the glory of Machiavel and the blueprint for Belgian Eurock.

Even though it isn't so great, this album has own its charm and qualities and I'm sure Machiavel's Jester and Mechanical Moonbeams included this album are must for Machiave's fans. Unfortunately, personally as a prog fan, they already changed their musical direction since their 4th album-Urban Games.

But they still stick to progressive rock element which makes me feel relieved not to lose one of best bands in the world. After listening to the 'Virtual Sun", I have a firm belief that they still are one of wonderful bands like before. Simply they were called Belgian Supertramp for a while. I don't think that name down the either band. I think it's compliment. And Machiavel have proved it since 1976.

By the way, I'm sending my deepest sorrow for the death of Albert Letecheur who was the original keyboardist of Machiavel. I still love your music!
