Deep Purple why they have'nt been added previously is truely amazing,because you would find that most or more than half the acts on this site would have been influenced by them either directly or in directly.Deep purple had the knack of turning their 5 minute studio metal tracks into 30 minute Opus Godzilla's live,that even today when heard on Made in Japan are absolutley mindmelting gems.To many people Deep Purple are it,and during a period of the early 70's Purple were totally untouchable when live they completly upstaged, especially when they shared the bill with other acts.Ritchie Blackmore would not have Deep purple second to anyone.

This DVD is something special,and its the closest thing you will ever see to Made in Japan,most of the songs are the only footage that is in existance of the mark II classic lineup of the period playing live.The quality is amazing its like its been in a vault for years,its that fresh and shows Purple in full power its awesome.Gillan is amazing,truely the best frontman ever in hard Rock,Lord,Paice and Blackmore just all in full flight ,even Glover is that cool.Whats survived is special,i would advise also to get a copy of California Jam which was recorded in front of 200,000 people that is pure prog metal.
