4 stars Oh Zappa how I love thee, A hardy soul indeed you must be to understand this dude. Those without a sense of humor should run like hell, I always have felt Zappa's strongest trait was, his music sounds like he does not take himself to seriously, I detect no pretentiousness at all, What you see is what you get, Of course he did take the music seriously, The social satires priceless. But the Guitar work is what's special, and underrated. And since I love jazz fusion music, I can appreciate this as much as any other fusion. This Collection of left overs is fantastic.I have always felt many Zappa albums sound like film scores, with the mood swings, and different styles drawn upon. All the albums from the Hot Rats period are worth a spin. Hot Rats being his Masterpiece in my opinion. The rather Lengthy "The Little House I used to Live In" Never gets boring. The Violin Solo is Wonderful. This Band is definitely one of the few I wish I could hop in the time machine for.
