5 stars Around 1994 a tape was sent to me by a friend from Wales. It came out of the blue and it was mindblowing. The tape had this masterpiece from Jon Anderson on one side and who knows what on the other. At that point i had fallen out of love with yes, as the Rabin era and lack of exposure to Yes in Australia had cast me adrift. However upon hearing change we must over and over my love of Yes and Anderson was rekindled and i have since sought all their combined material. There is a warmth to this record that had eluded Andersons earlier work which could often be high in the treble range(city of Angels, tormato) and it mostly came from the lower key in which most tracks are piched. The oprchestral arrangements are again warm and go further than replacing keyboards by having integral parts much like Magnification years later. The duet Chagall Duet is Jon's crowning glory and moves one so much that my Wife chose it for her wedding march. Hearts, Change we must, State of Independence, Hurry home, Under the sun are all beautifully arranged and sung. The minor pieces of piano work are interesting interludes while anyone can light a candle and the kiss find jon in a warm romantic mood. This record is best listened too in front of a warm fire on a cold winters night with a smooth glass of Port.Congratulations to Jon on a fine piece of work.A collectors item
