4 stars Impressive debut full album. Refreshing and original band taking together several influences, from Scandinavian prog bands like Anekdoten and Landberk, to jazz and trip hop. Almost all tracks have mellow and heavy parts. The vocals of Petronella and all musicians are great. No bad track or filler. 1-"Sensor" has variable drums, mellotron ambiences and is perhaps the most energetic track on the album. 2-"Hypnotique". After a mellow start, the music grows in energy including guitar and flute solos with a mellotron in the background. 3-"Téa" is another great track, mellow in the first half but as in #2, the music is heavier in the end. 4-"They Are Beautiful" is all time slow and with very delicate vocals; listen to the interesting clarinets in this track. No bad track, but for me the first tree tracks are the highlights. 5-"Quits" is a big surprise. The first part is simple and repetitive (programmed drumming?), proper to dance houses. I confess that until 4:00 it was boring, but fortunately the track is saved by the introduction of real drumming and that amazing bass riff at 6:00 with electric piano in the background. And the surprise: the last 3-4 minutes are made of an anarchic free jazz music with the introduction of a brass section of sax, trumpet and trombone!!! My only complaint: this cd is very short! We deserved at least more 5 min of this great music. Perhaps in a future release they will include the material from the EP - Perception/Tea as bonus tracks. Highly recommended for anyone interested in new (21st century) and really good prog bands. ****½stars
