4 stars This album is an awesome example of how bands of today should sound: Muse are a really concetrate of a lot of influences : from classical music (the most evident one) to eye blinks to Radiohead, King Crimson and even Queen.... This album sounds EPIC in the purest meaning of the term, it conatins some of the powerful, drammatic, sad, songs I've ever heard. Excellent songs like "Apocalypse, Please" really evocates in the most theatrical way the last chapter of the holy book just think about this song's lyrics "It's time we saw a miracle, c'mon it's time for something biblical!". It's amazing seeing how a very talented band like Muse is, can be able to mix without problem furios songs like "Hysteria" and "Stockholm Syndrome", tracks that really rage divine wrath sounding like as an earthquake trough your own stereo to oniric, visionary moments like "Blackout", a Giuseppe Verdi influenced track, and the excellent "Ruled By Secrecy" the most unquietable song of all times....

This band is one of the greatest of our days, and many of other today's bands should reflect about this.
