Most likely the best progressive rock album in the last 10 years, Frances the Mute is as much an assault on the ears as it is a delight on the ears. This album's style makes me think of what would happen if Yes collided with Van der Graaf Generator. Brilliant musicmanship, abstract, Yesstyle lyrics, and noises that would make the most dedicated prog fan listen twice, Frances the Mute is a modern prog classic.
