Intelligent, Crafty, Quirky at times, Groovy, Proggy, Complex, Controversial at times. 3rDegree comes at you from all angles with their latest. File somewhere between Echolyn and Rush if you've never heard the band before. But there's something else with this disc and band. I can't explain it, it's a Spacehog type of vibe. All that was good about the mid to late 90's scene mixed in with Kevin Gilbert stylings. I hate to keep comparing these guys to other musicians and bands, but I just want to give the reader of this an idea just how diverse this bands sound is if you've never heard them before. This disc entertains from all the way through. Not only is the music arranged intelligently but the lyrics are topical and relevant to the current state of the country today without being boring. They inject some humor into their subject matter. Which is a key to a progressive rock band's success...Never take yourself too seriously. But one thing you can take seriously....This band will kick your butt!!!
