5 stars When I discovered this album and listened for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it.

The Road to Avalon, written and produced by Blake Carpenter from The Minstrel's Ghost, is a masterpiece of music art. To my humble opinion the album has all ingredients to become a real classic. From the drums to the bass, the guitars, the keyboard and the vocals: the compositions and performance are in perfect balance.

One can also immediately recognize the artwork by world renowned artist Ed Unitsky. From the moment that you'll get the album in your hand you'll realize that he truly sketched the universe of the Road to Avalon.

From the first note till the last one it sounds epic. There is nothing overdone, and if you listen with your eyes closed, you're feeling immediately carried away to Avalon and other magical places! Blake has a very recognizable voice, and will instantly remind you on some legendary classic and prog bands. The parts on the acoustic guitar sounds very warm and it makes you feel very close. Some tracks are just perfect as soundtrack . You can hear and feel that there has been put a lot of love and dedication in this album.

This album is a journey, and you'll have to listen to it that way. It takes you away on the clouds of imagination and long forgotten times, and let you forget for a moment the world's ratrace where we live in. Don't we all want to escape from something from time to time?

I gave this album a 5-star rating, because I truly believe that this album is a survivor, and will conquer the hearts of lots of people!
