I bought this, as one reviewer has noted, as a double package with "The Spotlight Kid". I can't get into "Spotlight" but Clear Spot is a favourite and much-played work.

It's certainly accessible by Beefheart's standards but has more of an edge to my ears than Spotlight Kid. There's not a track on it that I dislike. Not until Bat Chain Puller would the Captain release something as good as this.
