5 stars An good compilation of the not so early SM. Sounds very different to the first two LP's, less experimental, more sofisticated and jazzy, completely instrumental. The departure of Ayers and then Wyatt is heard quite distinctively. A good choice if you're courious!

4 stars An excellent compilation from the "Fourth", "Five" and "Six" Soft Machine-era. All instrumental. If you don't want all 3 albums from this period, "As If" is the compilation CD to get. If you're a Soft Machine fanatic like myself, search out all 3 albums.
