Artist statement:
"This is a project of heartbreak, transformation and rebirth. Hearts in Darkness is a journey deep into the heart, into the mystery, into the self. Sometimes an expedition is undertaken whether one wants to or not. The destination is uncertain, the path unclear, yet the voyage beckons. The first step launches you from the familiar and the ride continues to more and more mysterious places and finally into the exclusive territory of the dark abyss where one is forever transformed, as the self melts into its core element, never to be known or lost again.

Originally recorded throughout 2010, Hearts in Darkness was never released. Life had other plans for the members of Voice of Eye and the project sat waiting for the right moment. Perhaps now in 2021, assuming the collective grief of humanity, the time is appropriate to embark through our shared transformation to rebirth."
