Patrick Marcel biography
PATRICK MARCEL is a french guitarist from Lyon. MARCEL has been playing guitar since age 11, going through various styles like classic and jazz, eventually attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. He worked as a session musician and arranger in studios, orchestras and in the field of broadcast and sound equipment maintenance as well as concert organization and promotion. In his recent years he is most dedicated to teaching guitar to local artists via his own school and sound illustration for film and theater.

In the early 80's MARCEL produced some of his own compositions as an album called 'Ostinato' which was self released in humble numbers and is a fine example of guitar synth driven fusion, having some influence from PAT METHENY of the era as a reference point.
