Black Peaks biography
Founded in Brighton, UK in 2012 (originally as "Shrine")

BLACK PEAKS are a progressive metal band that formed in 2012, originally under the moniker of Shrine. In 2014 the band self-released an EP called Closer to the Sun. In 2016, they signed to Sony to release their debut full-length called Statues, and released two singles from the album, Glass Built Castles and Saviour. As their popularity grew, they toured in support of notable acts such as THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and MASTODON. In 2017, bass player Andrew GOSDEN left and was replaced by Dave LARKIN. In 2018 they released their second album All That Divides.

The band incorporate numerous styles into their music including progressive metal, math rock, post-metal, sludge metal and alternative rock. The band members currently consist of Will GARDNER on lead vocals, Joe GOSNEY on guitars and vocals, Dave LARKIN on bass and Liam KEARLEY on drums.
