Sermon biography
The band SERMON is a one-man progressive metal project from an artist who prefers to remain anonymous at this time. The project was formed around 2014 in London, England. Very little is known about the person behind this band or it's touring members, but the band's debut album "Birth of the Marvellous", released in 2019, has been getting a lot of critical attention. James STEWART from the band VADER provides the drums for the record while everything else is seemingly performed by the founder of the band.

The music is dark and heavy, simple and complex, aggressive and intelligent progressive metal. The album responsible for the formation of the band was 6-years in the making. It is a concept album whose story was inspired by the terminal cancer diagnosis of the founder's father. Loosely based on the story of "The Wandering Jew", it adds plenty of twists to keep the listener involved. The music seems to have carved out it's own niche that sits somewhere between the music of TOOL and OPETH.

Fans of SOEN, TOOL, OPETH, PORCUPINE TREE, KATAONIA and VADER will definitely be interested in this mysterious project.
