Scattered Purgatory biography
Founded 2013 in Taipei, Taiwan

SCATTERED PURGATORY is an experimental music project comprised of core members Lu Li-Yang and Lu Jiachi. The band name derives from an old Taoist ritual 'which expiates the souls of the innocent from a state in between life and death'. Dominated by a strong Krautrock oriented approach they are predominantly utilizing synthesizers, occasionally also guitars, bass, wind and percussion instruments as well as chant.

The result is a beautiful blend of meditative and ritualized soundscapes which includes drones, ethno/world and diverse psychedelic space elements. Ideally suited for a cinematic implementation their albums are highly recommended genre efforts.
