Lux Terminus biography
LUX TERMINUS is an eclectic prog band from Cleveland, Ohio (U.S.) which was formed in 2016 by GRAVITY keyboardist Vikram SHANKAR. He recruited his fellow bandmates Brian CRAFT (bass) and Matthes KERSCHNER (drums) to create this instrumental power trio that combine metal and jazz influences for a unique piano-driven sound that sets them apart from other bands.

After working together for two years, the band recorded and released their first album "The Courage to Be" in 2018. The music demonstrates the band's heavy reliance on jazz instrumentals all the while adding in a cinematic flair with both metal and progressive rock influences thus creating a unique eclectic sound.

The band has cited their influences as DREAM THEATER, HAKEN, RUSH, PINK FLOYD, GENESIS, RETURN TO FOREVER, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, PERIPHERY, ANATHEMA, IAMTHEMORNING, Tigran HAMASYAN, Vince DiCOLA, Hans ZIMMER, and Howard SHORE.
