Vindication biography
VINDICATION is the name of a one-off, eclectic prog band founded in 1974 in Columbus, Indiana by high school friends Geoff PACHECO (drums, vocals) and Brad GARTON (keyboards, vocals) who played together in a cover band. When they decided to play a more complex, progressive music of their own, they brought in another friend, Patrick Kenedy (guitars, vocals) and started having dreams of making it big as a band. Since Geoff at the time had a growing interest in Christianity, he wrote lyrics dealing with that subject, and thus VINDICATION was born.

The musicians convinced their parents to invest in a week of recording sessions at a local studio. During this time, the band pressed a limited number of copies of an album (self-titled) and they all were excited with high hopes. Unfortunately, life led them all down a different path and this ended up being the only album they would record. It wasn't until 2011 that Brad convinced the others to put this music on-line, and suddenly a demand for the album pushed the value of the rare copies sky high.

The music is a surprisingly complex progressive rock that boasts several styles from psychedelic to symphonic to eclectic. This together with the Christian-based themes and lo-fi production give it all a sincere and unique sound. The music will appeal to fans of GENTLE GIANT, YEZDA URFA and EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER.
