Mosaik biography
MOSAIK was fusion band from German city Mönchengladbach. This mysterious group recorded only one self-released album N° 1 in 1977 before disappearing from musical scene.

Their only album is one-time project of the band, whose members were not assosiated with other bands (except for the drummer Wolfgang STANGE who later appeared on psychedelic post-punk album by EUROPEAN SONS). Music of MOSAIK is full of extended guitar playing by Georg KORDT with many saxophone and flute leads by Manfred RONSPECK, sounds of Klaus MUßELERS electronic piano and loud bass of Heinz JOPEN.

MOSAIK krautrock-influenced fusion is in the same spirit as works of many other accomplished German groups from 1970s. They can be compared to bands like MISSUS BEASTLY, MOIRA, RELEASE MUSIC ORCHESTRA with hints of SOFT MACHINE.
