Empire Bathtub biography
EMPIRE BATHTUB from Houston, Texas started as a solo project by founder Stephen FORRISTALL in 2019. Soon after Jonah ROBERTSON was recruited to provide narration and vocals. The band's first quirky album "Looney Moons" was released in 2020, and soon after, the band started working on their follow-up album, an album that will continue the story of the TOOL-loving alien introduced in the debut album.

The music utilizes an interesting combination of organic instrumentation and programming to come up with a heavy blend of prog that exists on the line of progressive metal and heavy prog with plenty of don't-take-this-too-seriously humor in the lyrics.

The band cites their influences as THE MERCURY TREE, LEPROUS, CHEETO'S MAGAZINE, TROLDHAUGEN, TOOL, COHEED AND CAMBRIA and FOLLOW THE SUN.
