Mastord biography
The concept for the band MASTORD was founded and developed by guitarist and keyboardist Kari SYVELA from Kotka, Finland in 2016. After he took his music to producer Teemu AALTO, he was encouraged to develop the music further with a full band. At that point, the band members were picked one by one. He met a vocalist from an IRON MAIDEN cover band, Markku PIHLAJA, at a local grocery store and together they recruited Pasi HAKULI on bass and Toni PAANANEN on drums.

The band released their first album "Trail of Consequence" in 2019, a conceptual album that deals with domestic abuse and violence. Their 2nd album, "To Whom Bow Even the Trees" was then released in 2021. The music has been described as having the feel of TOOL with the vocals of Bruce DICKENSON of IRON MAIDEN. The music should definitely appeal to fans of both of those bands along with HAKEN, KAMELOT, DREAM THEATER, and QUEENSRYCHE.
