The New Magic biography
The New Magic is a psych/space rock project hailing from Oslo, Norway. Spearheaded by the multi-instrumentalist Martin van Houtum (whom some may recognize from groups such as Den Kosmiske Overorden, Zenon, Wind, and The Abaia Magic), they have released one album to date, 2024's Bird's Eye View.

A mix of psychedelic soundscapes and jazzy exotica, the New Magic's influences include Brian Eno, Dungen, Ghosts of Jupiter, Terry Riley, Brian and Dennis Wilson, and many Norwegian jazz musicians such as Erlend Apneseth and Christian Meaas Svendsen.
