Karma biography
Karma began just like any other band: playing covers! The idea came up from a guitar student, Gabriel Kaue, and his teacher Chico Dehira. They decided to invite the drum player from Instinct (Chico 's band at that time) Marcell Cardoso and a friend who played bass, Edu Carioca. In a Dr. Sin concert they saw a singer with the opening act who would perfectly fit their project, Thiago Bianchi. Right there and then they invited him to join the team. Some days later they found the last missing piece, keyboard player Alexandre da Cunha.

With the addition of the keyboards the band needed just one guitar player, so Gabriel left the position exclusively for Chico. Changes were just beginning. Edu left the band and was replaced by Vanessa Odry and soon after Alexandre also left, being replaced by Fabrizio di Sarno .

The team was complete and ready to record their first demo and start looking for opening acts, such as for bands Stratovarius and Hammerfall in 1999. Something rather unusual happened when opening for Stratovarius. With just over a minute after Karma entered the stage, there was a massive blackout in half of the country. The frustration was compensated on the opening act for Hammerfall.

In that same year they began the recordings of their first album "Inside the Eyes". During that period they had the privilege of opening a concert for ANGRA at the Palace ( presently DirectTV Hall) in Sao Paulo. This gig brought an extra strength and confidence to the band, both on stage and on studio for the making of the album.

Soon after that Vanessa Odry left the band. She was quickly replaced by Felipe Andreoli who then became part of the Karma team. Due to the swift replacement, Felipe's responsibility was huge because he had to learn and record the songs in record time for the conclusion of the album.

Finally the album "Inside the Eyes" was released, featuring a special appearance by Andre Matos (SHAAMAN; VIRGO; ex-ANGRA; VIPER) on the track "The Speech", being also the first national Metal Album presented in 'Digipack Format' (special paper box), highly acclaimed by the critics.

Felipe left Karma right after the release of the album to integrate the new formation of ANGRA. Instantly the name Andria Busic ( DR.SIN) snapped on the air, a long time friend of the band since the first stages of its history. Due to the incompatibility of schedules and agendas Andria didn't stay for long, and he was replaced by Fernand...
