Araxes biography
ARAXES was grouped in November 2001 with former members of the project "Insert Coin". All band members had brought experiences from their many years of classical training and at the beginning of 2002 they started playing their first concerts, which were presented particularly in small clubs. But also larger appearances were soon already approaching and the interest in ARAXES constantly increased.
In November 2003 they began the sessions for their first album, into the studios in Züberwangen they developed the first work, which was finished at the end of March 2004 in the Gallus Tonstudio, mixed by Jowi Widmer. "No-Man's-Land ", the album's title, was released in 15 May 2004.
Since that then ARAXES have been in stage promoting their album. In March 2006 rehearsals took place in the context of a sampler project. The sampler album was published in October 2006.
The music of ARAXES oscillates between the progressive rock of the 70's and the psychedelic sounds of the late 60's, up to elements of the modern music. Organs, harder passages and plentifully diagonal parts are combined to songs to compose a strong unit.
