Brown vs Brown biography
The instrumental avant, freak funky and punky, math and alt. rocky jazz/ funk fusion band, BROWN VS BROWN, was formed in Amsterdam in 2004 by DIRK BRUINSMA (saxophones), VILJAM NYBACKA (bass), GERRI JAEGER (drums/ percussion), and JEROEN KIMMAN (guitar). They share composition duties and have different musical backgrounds which leads to an eclectic, but jazzy synthesis of styles.

In 2006, the band released "Intrusion of the Alleged Brown Sound" (not to be confused with the alleged "brown note"), which is a terrific album, and they followed up with the perhaps even more accomplished "Twitch and Shout" in 2007; however, both albums have similar track-lists, but the latter album is supposed to be more carefully produced.

The band is very active on the live circuit, and can be found playing jazz-halls and alt.rock clubs.
