DIMENSION34 is a progressive metal band from Sweden formed in 2006 by Karl Perssion (guitar), Göran Nyström (vocals), Jon Pedersén (guitar) and Jimmy Striem (bass). A few songs were already written and shortly after Tom Åsvold (drums) joins the band. After a few rehearsals the band heads to the studio to record their first album entitled "The Release Of Me" which would be released in late 2006.

In 2008 Jimmy Striem left the band for unknown reasons even to the band members, who haven't spoken to him since he left. Max Carlberg from Aeon replaced him and has been on the band since.

The band spend most of 2008 writing and recording their follow-up album and it wasn't till the album was finished that Tom Åsvold left the band to head to Los Angeles to study at the Musicians Institute.
