Lorq Damon biography
Very little is known about LORQ DAMON - apparently it's an alias for Elias from Milwaukee, WI. The story starts with a certain self-helping group, led by Charles Berner, named 'The Insititute of Ability', active in South California, where 100 to 250 people gathered and were doing workshops for self-improvement. The group was active from the late 60's to 70's, comprising mostly of ex-scientologists and hippies.

Most likely, LORQ DAMON's only record, 'Journey To The Land Of Forgotten Dreams' is a product of involvement in such workshops, emphasizing a concept of psychic experience and subconsciousness.

It was entirely recorded with Moog synthesizer and two Sony Tape Recorders. The music itself is worthy of checking for any enthusiast of progressive electronic music, since it's comprising minimalistic analog synth interventions, futuristic themes of 50's and 60's American electronic music, eerie layerings and it's emphasizing a homogeneous, cerebral concept.

Moris Mateljan, 2010.
