Zemlja Broj 9 biography
Serbian band Zemlja Broj 9 ( "Earth Number 9") was founded in Belgrade in the end of 2003 on the ashes of post-rock group "Fonograf". Two former "Fonograf" guitarists left Belgrade, and drummer Milan with bassist Srdjan founded new band, "Zemlja Broj 9". Other new members were Gaga on keyboards and Zara on guitar.

New formed band started to play minimalistic and ambient music, later it became faster, filled with dynamic, rhythmic and harmonic experimentation. Band is playing around Serbia and Croatia, new keyboard player Dusan Zica changed Gaga, who left for Italy.

On the beginning of 2006 the band's line-up was as follows: Milan, Srdjan ( who changed bass to Russian-produced synthesizer Polivox) and former drummer Gagi on bass now. As trio now, band played live show with Damo Suzuki in Belgrade.
In September 2006 the band found new guitarist Dach. As quartet now they played some shows in Serbia and Croatia and recorded in Zagreb their debut album "Polja oscilatora" (released in 2007 on Slusaj Najglasnije label).

Band plays energetic mix of spacey/psychedelic, post-rock and indie-rock with Serbian lyrics.
