Red Seas Fire biography
RED SEAS FIRE is a djent band formed in Southern England by bassist Leo DORSZ, guitarist Pete GRAVES, vocalist Robin ADAMS, guitarist Adam "Nolly" GETGOOD, and drummer Sam GATES. The band plays a jazz-fusion (in the style of PLANET X and Allan HOLDSWORTH) influenced metalcore-based djent, taking influence not only from fellow djenters PERIPHERY, MONUMENTS, and others but also prog rock acts such as PINK FLOYD, JAGGA JAZZIST, and OCEANSIZE. The band, for the most part, fits very well into the modern metalcore-based melodic djent scene, utilizing many of the same techniques for chord voicings and riffs as some of the other scene-mates have used.
The band's self-funded self-titled debut EP was released in 2011.
