Björn Johansson biography
Multi-instrumentalist Björn Johansson (better known as guitar viortuoso) met fellow Swede Pär Lindh in 1993 during a progressive Rock festival in Uppsala, Sweden. The two men later started jamming and were involved in various projects together, one of which was the first Pär Lindh Project album Gothic Impressions in 1994 on which Johansson played classical guitar and various other instruments.

After participating in the making of Gothic Impressions, Johansson was approached by Lindh about creating a musical project inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. This resulted in Bilbo album in 1996 on which Johansson played an impressive array of different instruments. The music is inspired by Celtic and Nordic Folk music and some of it was composed independently by Lindh and Johansson when they were about 13 or 14 years old. A further Tolkien inspired album by the two friends followed in 2004 entitled Dreamsongs From Middle Earth.

In 1998, Johansson wanted to strike out on his own and released the album Discus Ursi under his own name. This album featured Pär Lindh as a guest and remains Johansson?s only solo album.
