Opusculus biography
OPUSCULUS is a heavy progressive rock trio from Montreal, Quebec. Formed by drummer Michel LANDRY, guitarist Jocelyn MAHEUX, and bassist Thierry ZAMBO, the band creates a dynamic mixture of free jazz structures, hard rock sensibilities, latin fusion grooves, metal textures, and more. The band takes much influence from the likes of RUSH, KING CRIMSON, PORCUPINE TREE, TOOL, ALLAN HOLDSWORTH, and many more, making for a very diverse sound.
The band's debut album, "Cononant", was released in 2011.

::::Andy Webb::::

Opusculus was on hiatus for a couple of years due to conflicting schedules and life in general.The band is back at it with a record deal, a new album in the making and a 2017 Summer tour with Swedish prog-psychedelic-stoner MONTGOLFIERE.

You can expect the same mixture of influences, but shorter songs. And we are sticking to the power trio format.

I will keep in touch with all the details. In the meantime, feel free to contact me with any question.
