BLUEBRIDGE QUARTET

Bluebridge Quartet biography
BLUEBRIDGE QUARTET (ironically not a quartet) is made up of Simon ALLZEN on alto saxophone, Jesper SVENSSON on guitar, Simon DAVIDSSON on double bass, Erik JONSSON on drums, Erik ENGBLOM on guitar and Rasmus SVENSSON on trumpet and glockenspiel. They hail from Jönköping, Sweden and were founded in 2004.

At times even more influenced by nu-jazz and post-jazz than post-rock, BLUEBRIDGE QUARTET nonetheless has a unique blend of both that is innovative as well as entertaining. Their jazzy use of trumpet and saxophone coupled with the post-rock arrangements that they create is perhaps the first music of its kind.

The band has been around for about a decade but only has some EPs and one full length that landed in 2011, "Bluebridge, The Quartet".
