DISPOSITIVOPERILANCIOBLIQUODIUNASFERETTA (an amalgamation of the Italian words for Device for the Oblique Launching of a Small Sphere, also known as DISPO or MALEDETTIDISPO) is an Italian math rock band formed by Pisi, Marcello, Valerio, and Posho in 1997. The band lay mostly dormant for close to 10 years until they released their debut 3-track EP La Gente Mormora in 2007. The EP showed the band's eccentric math rock was just as wacky as their band name lead one to believe. Energetic, technical, and quirky, the band exemplified what Italian math rock should sound like.

The band followed this EP with their first full length album, Rembrandt Era Eccezionale (Con Tutte Quelle Luci) in 2009. The band toured in support of the album, and have been working on a follow up ever since.
