Hello, this is Hiro Kawahara.
I would like to talk about my music a little.

I made my debut in music in 1980 with a one-man project called OSIRIS, released as a vinyl-LP, backed up by the magazine Fool''s Mate.

In 1984, I met Thoru Ohta and started working with him on Heretic.
Heretic reflects not only my musicality, but half his musicality as well.

I''m originally a guitarist, but I also played the synthesizer and violin depending on the musical setting.

In the 1980s, we used analog equipment such as analog synthesizers. In the 1990s, we made music using MIDI, digital synthesizers, samplers, and analog synthesizers.

After moving to Tokyo with my family in 1999, my activities stopped, but last year I started remastering all my past works, and arranged for them all to be released digitally.

This includes releasing includes a 1998 collaboration with Peter Frohmader from Germany. He passed away suddenly in May, 2022, so this collaboration work is a tribute to him.

Next, the fundamental concept of my sound creation is the art of time. For example, I was making a sound that changes from moment to moment.

Also, in the point of view a physical sound, I was aiming for Zen-Electronics music. By emphasizing a specific frequency, I aimed to create a sound that resonates in the depths of the listener''s consciousness. In other words, I was aiming for music that would serve as an opportunity to face one''s inner world.

I think there are many listeners who regard my work as New Age Music, but if you listen with more concentration, a deeper image should emerge from your mind.

Also, certain music is 3D, stereophonics processed, so I think there is a world of sound that you have never experienced before.

I hope that people looking for new music will enjoy my music.

Thanks for watching the video.
