Review by Prog Leviathan
PROG REVIEWER
3 stars A surprisingly enjoyable DVD release, filled with a tour de force of the band's legendary hits performed with revitalized energy.

Assuming that such a decision is neccessary for you: this is the live Journey album to get. It has a solid set list, featuring not only the group's irresistably tacky hits, but also a smattering of extended solos and previously unrecorded songs-- not to mention singles from "Arrival". New singer Steve Augeri's presence injects some much appreciated strength into the band's vocals, his voice being slightly smoother and easier on the the ears than Perry's sometimes shrill sustains. Moreover, the band itself simply seems excited about being on stage again. Schon's guitar work is outstanding, and new drummer Castranovo gives the old classics a powerful drive. The whole machine is one finely tuned to pack out arena classics until your voice is hoarse from singing along. The listener will be left in a good mood, for certain.

In other words: this is probably Journey at their very best.
