1 stars These guys have talent, but they need to find a band. Without bass, keyboards, or any other context, the attack of heavy electric guitar over drums seems phony, like a gang of growling pixies. There could be so much more to this. "Somer" is a track that has coughing electric guitar with a drumming session, and that is all. The guitar is distorted and the drums sit in the backdrop. After a silence, the chugging, thin guitar returns. In "Wantok," a nice heavy riff opens this, and the drums again sit in the background. The guitar takes on some effects on this one, particularly phaser, but none of this is enough to keep it interesting.
