4 stars PIKE 181 - 26 DAYS TIL HALLOWEEN: BOGWITCH is the 80th album released by BUCKETHEAD in 2015. Another all instrumental album with BUCKETHEAD creating all the sonic explorations on board. This one clocks in 48 seconds over the half hour mark and contains 9 tracks all titled BOGWITCH with Parts 1-9, however they all pretty much run together seamlessly so it's more like one long trip thru the haunted house.

Another weird ambient spooky soundtrack but this one has more than just ambience. It starts off with freaky electronic screams and a fog horn of some sort honking. Out of tune strings are plucked and oscillate in and out of tune and weird ambience! This is wild and totally out of this world firmly placed in the world of the avant-garde and then some. Some kind of percussion kicks in and it sounds like something is being shaken but i'm really not sure then different percussion sounds trade off while other sounds overlap each other. This might be the scariest and most effective freaky HALLOWEEN soundtrack yet.

It's really impossible to describe this one. This is basically a complex parade of different sounds, some musical but mostly not. It is utterly unpredictable and it makes me think of being a little bacteria floating around in a petri dish where random shape things flutter around me from all directions making sounds as they flagellate and lash around displacing sounds with other sounds. This is just too weird to describe. Only for the most hardcore avant-garde freaks out there who want to hear the freakiest sonic experience to be had. I'm one of them. This is good stuff. God forbid if you took LSD and listened to this, you'd surely go madly insane. 3.5 rounded UP
