"Moongressive is an Italian progressive rock band formed officially in Vicenza in February 2013 and consists of 4 members: Federico Castellan (vocals and keyboards), Riccardo Ceron (drums), Alessandro Lanzoni (guitar and vocals) and Marco Pivato (bass).

The band was born from the ashes of 'Mad Joke', another progressive rock band active from 2009 to 2012, to which Riccardo, Marco and Alessandro all belonged.

After the band split, Riccardo concentrated on other music projects, while Alessandro and Marco continued composing music under the same name, looking for additional musicians to complete the line-up.

In the winter of 2012 they discovered Federico through ads on the web, saw a lot of potential in him, and invited him to audition. A good understanding immediately developed between the three, both musically and on a personal level, so they invited him to permanently join the group. After a few months, in early 2013, he introduced drummer Edoardo Mattiello to the group, with whom they played until the autumn of the same year, changing the name of the band to 'Alogon', and they recorded an EP in June 2013 entitled "First of All". It was released the following month as a limited edition of just 50 copies.

In September of that year Riccardo returned on drums, and Alogon begin to prepare for their first concert.

After reaching the final of Vicenza Rock Contest 2013/2014, in the autumn of 2014 the band went into the recording studio to record to their first full-length, entitled 'Wings of Time', which was released in December 2015 under the new band name of Moongressive."

'Wings Of Time'is a concept album that tells the story of a man who’s living a strong personal drama. He’s a writer and ex-alcoholic whose pregnant wife passed away during the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the USA. Due to this fact, he begins suffering a breakdown, consisting of depression, frustration and mental instability and finds relief in alcohol. One day he suddenly wakes up, takes a look in the mirror and convinces himself it’s time to get up and fight against his demons and ghosts. This is the beginning of the journey and 'Wings Of Time' represents it, showing the process that goes from sadness to happiness, from a hopeless and helpless state to the joy of life.

Whilst musically focused on the typical progressive rock tradition, the record covers a wide spectrum of genres.

The physical version of the album is manufactured on demand, using CD-R recordable media, but it is also available on the usual digital platforms.

	Wings of Time" is the debut album of a young Italian band called Moongressive, and it is easily linkable to the progressive tradition, due to the odd time signatures and frequent and sudden changes, but it also takes elements from rock, pop and even metal, to create an interesting mix of genres that easily drives the listener to the next song.
