Incredible obscure French folk/symphonic rock band from 70s with one self-titled album from 1977.
Members are: Jean-Pierre Haure on bass and guitar, Marc Girard on drums, Georges Valat on guitar, flute, harmonica and vocals, André Dion on guitar, mandolin, vocals, Marc Peynet on keyboards and percussionist Titus.
Music is lightly folk rock mixed with a bit of symphonic style and a few more dark moments with eclectic overtones. Compositions (two big ones, first divided into smaller parts) are most often driven by acoustic guitars and piano passages - with few twists.
Their album can be recommended for enthusiasts of French symphonic rock with a big dose of nostalgia who are searching for something unknown.

Disjoined piano in "Tempete de Robinson" introduced by sinister acoustic guitars is very strange, brr!

after listening to this ornamented work about Robinson's trip and love story(?) third time I conclude that's beautiful album with more eclectic character than I thought
(it also could be Eclectic I think)

I'm really liking this album, I was somewhat familiar with it, but haven't given it a full proper spin yet. I'm enjoying the folk meets symph with jazzy and jammy qualities. It is eclectic. It reminds me somewhat in part of Ralf Nowy's Lucifer's Dream (which is in Krautrock), but that is probably because I was thinking about that album before playing Images, and it reminds me more of Memoriance (included in Symph Prog at times), as well as certain ones on Prog folk from France. Pentacle, which looking at the RYM reviews, one reviewer mentioned seems a good call to me, and is one I would have likened to when my brain got around to it (he also mentioned Memoriance). The first side is more folk (with symphonic textures). here is even a touch of the likes of Arachnoid.

I would have to listen more and properly, to get a feel for if it's better for Prog Folk or an Art Rock sub (Eclectic/ Crossover). Hopefully a team member (prog folk or from an art rock sub) will chime in; good stuff.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

second listen and yes, expecially if we are to include the seconf album I spoke of in my previous post, UI'd tend to say that they are much more than prog folk (only the A-side is really), so eclectic could/would be a better solution

Go for it, I say, as Hugues thinks it's more Eclectic, I actually did have that impression (because of side two), and the OP himself suggested that this might be better for Eclectic. :)

This is a really great find. It does amaze me how much good and PA appropriate stuff is still being unearthed from decades past.

Images was obscure French prog rock band with one album released in 1977.

Their first, self-titled album can be recommended for enthusiasts of French symphonic rock with a big dose of nostalgia who are searching for something unknown, but with bigger dose of folk.

I listened to Pentacle - They're much more syphonic with there string-synths and more extented frequent guitar solos, but indeed atmosphere is a bit similar.
