Quásar was founded in 2018 by four students of a public school, called Escuela de Música Juan Pedro Esnaola, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which provides the usual courses of a high-school in the morning, and music in the afternoon.
They aquired a taste for progressive rock while studying music, and from the record collection of their parents. So, playing that style came as a natural thing when they started to share musical sessions, being about 14 or 15 years old.
In 2019, and after having their initial gigs at the school events, they took part in the Festival Clave 13/17, organized by the Centro Cultural Recoleta. After the end of the pandemic lock-up, in 2021, they played in a number of festivals. In the course of 2022 Quásar played live in the theater El Alambique, in El Emergente Bar, in the Centro Cultural Borges, in Marquee Session Live, and in the Enrique Muiño hall of the Centro Cultural San Martín.
Between December 16 and 22, 2022, they recorded their debut album in Estudio Kimono, engineered by Claudio Lafalce. That material was mixed and mastered between January and May, 2023, and in May 25, 2023, “Quasar” was launched on digital platforms. Also in physical format, by the label Viajero Inmóvil Records.
The members of the band are Santiago Rodríguez (electric and nylon-stringed guitar), Francisco Comínguez (keyboards), Iván Vega (bass) and Leopoldo Arenas (drums and percussion).
According to Comínguez, they are committed to a conceptual approach to their work, transcending the strictly musical aspect of it. And the full realization of that goal comes only with the true (or complete) experience, that's to say, their live performance.

This should sail through in no time at all once one of the Symph guys has spotted the topic. See also keyboard player Francisco Comínguez's post introducing the band back in October 2023.

Another "Quasar" band, it must be a record. This one is a no-brainer. On charts
Music is the refuge of souls ulcerated by happiness.
