Laundry was a band formed in 1993 by Primus drummer Tim 'Herb' Alexander who provided his usual complex battery as well as being the bands vocalist. Herb was joined by Guitarist Tom Butler and Chapman Stick/Warr Guitarist Ian Varriale.  The trio produced 2 albums, Motivator and Black Tongue. The sound hinged somewhere between Heavy Prog and Prog Metal with few commercial conventions applied. The occasional hint of RIO is present. The bands website made their music is available to their fans for free download for awhile, but the site has since dissolved.

The band has a My Space page with 3 samples:

Amazon has Motivator available as MP3 download for a reasonable price. The album can be heard in its entirity at Last.fm.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find samples of Black Tongue (naturally the most progressive of the 2) but for a single song on Last.fm. Perhaps check iTunes if you are a member.
