I've had J-L. Bucchi's Sunflower for some years now, and I've mentioned it before in the forum in the past, but I don't think that Bucchi has been suggested for inclusion before.  I was put in mind of this when i saw a fusion poll with B names and that got me thinking about two of my faves, Donlad Byrd, which I did suggest for Electric Byrd before, but there were concerns about discography, and Bucchi's Sunflower.

J-L. Bucchi was the Speed Limit keyboardist.  Sunflower features Jannick Top and Patrice Tison.  it's a combination of jazz, classical, electronic, and rock and should be of interest to RIO oriented listeners.  His later stuff is also interesting, and is generally electronic.  Can be synth-pop New Agey, ambient or more experimental.  He's made library music.

Can stream music of his here: http://www.musicme.com/#/Jean-Louis-Bucchi/

I noticed that there is a fair amount of his music on youtube, but still not enough for evaluation, a reason I didn't  suggest it before was because I do like to post youtube clips when suggesting them, and don't always feel like uploading them -- and, to be honest, I'm more interested in the suggestion process itself, and mentioning music I like, than the actual addition.  Since I'm not a reviewer, additions probably don't matter to me as much as some others.

I was ningplan to upload some music to youtube later for evaluation purposes from Sunflower, which ranges from Fusion, classical, to electronic, but the above musicme link serves the purpose.

A track of his off of April Orchestra (vol. 13 -- I really love this one):

EDIT: I will upload more videos later, despite the musicme link, since that's probably a turn off for most people (as would be the music for many).  This is just a  quite short funky one off Sunflower, not that any off that album are that long -- limited time and the Windows Live moviemaker takes a long time to render for each (if I dispense with images, then it would be faster to save).

Suggesting as a possibility for Eclectic -- see what people think, or maybe Prog Related, see next post.

Here is the Sunflower album off an LP rip -- individual tracks do not do it justice enough, I think:

If based on his Sunflower alone he were to be included, then I would think Eclectic Prog; however, I don't know that it would pass there.  It may be considered too light on rock -- try 21:50 mintes in for one of the better rocky tracks.  Otherwise, Prog Related if it could fit the parameters.  It does feature Janick Top (of Magma, solo, etc.) and Bucchi himself was one of the band members of Speed Limit (keyboardist), which is found in PA under JRF and has Zeuhl connections through Yochk'o Seffer of Zao/ Magma and solo.

His greater discography from what I know is more on the electronic and new age side, and I doubt would pass muster for Progressive Electronic, but as I think can be heard in non-Sunflower youtube tracks, he has made interesting and experimental oriented music.
